Runway damage closes Krabi airport | Bangkok Post: news

A screen grab from a ThaiPBS news report shows the broken paving materials on the Krabi airport runway on Saturday. Ten flights were delayed at Krabi international airport on Saturday afternoon after authorities closed the facility temporarily to repair damage to a recently resurfaced section of the runway. Airport authorities decided to temporarily close the airport for the repair work, starting from 1pm Saturday. Seven domestic and three international flights were affected. Atthaporn Nueng-udom, director of the airport, said he had suspended the use of the airport pending the repair of the damaged runway section, which was expected to be done by 4pm Saturday.
